December TBR List:

Hi everyone! I hope you’re all getting into the Christmas spirit. I for one am really excited for this year. It’s just what we needed after how 2020 has gone so far. My TBR list for December is also something I’m excited for. I haven’t added anything Christmassy on here because honestly I’m a lot more into Christmas movies than I am Christmas books. The list for this month is varied. One book is one I didn’t get around to last month, two are borrowed from my friend, and two are part of a series I have had for a while but not got to. It’s going to be a good month!

1. Rick Riordan - Percy Jackson and the Lightning Thief.

Look I didn’t want to be a half-blood. I never asked to be the son of a Greek God.

I was just a normal kid, going to school, playing basketball, skateboarding. The usual. Until I accidently vaporised my maths teacher. Now I spend my time battling monsters and generally trying to stay alive

This is the one where Zeus the god of the sky, thinks I’ve stolen his lightning bolt – and making Zeus angry is a very bad idea.

2. Rick Riordan - Percy Jackson and the Sea of Monsters.

You can’t tell by looking at me that my Dad is Poseidon, God of the sea.

It’s not easy being a half-blood these days. Even a simple game of dodgeball can turn into a death match against an ugly gang of cannibal giants – and that’s just the beginning.

Now Camp Half-Blood is under attack and, unless I can get my hands on the Golden Fleece, the whole camp will be invaded by monsters. Big ones. . .

3. Jojo Moyes – The One Plus One.

One eternal optimist. . .

Jess Thomas, with two jobs and two kids and never enough money, wears flip-flops in the hope of spring. And when life knocks her down she does her best to bounce right back. But there are some challenges even she can’t meet on her own.

Plus one lost stranger. . .

Ed Nicholls is the good guy gone bad. He had it all, then one stupid mistake cost him everything. Now he’ll do anything to make it right.

Equals a change encounter. . .

Ed doesn’t want to save anyone and Jess doesn’t wants saving, but could Jess and Ed add up to something better together?

4. The Cheerleaders – Kara Thomas.

There are no more cheerleaders in the town of Sunnybrook.

Not since five girls on the squad died in one terrible summer, five years ago.

Monica’s sister Jennifer was the last to die, and Monica is sure there’s more to her sister’s death than anyone will admit.

But whatever happened that summer isn’t over, and as secrets emerge and lies start to unravel, Monica finds herself at the centre of it all.

Now she’s going to get answers, whether she wants them or not. . .

5. James Patterson – Cross My Heart.

Alex Cross’s whole world is crashing down around him.

He has been hunted, stalked like prey, his predator priming himself for the kill.

Cross has devoted his life to protecting others. Now he’s unable to protect even those closest to him.

As a police detective, he has made many enemies, but never like this.

Everything he loves is being taking from him.

Soon he will have nothing and no one left.

6. Martina Cole – Get Even.

Playing grown-ups, the future is theirs for the taking.

Sharon Conway and Lenny Scott are childhood sweethearts. Everyone says they are too young, but nothing can keep them apart. Sharon doesn’t question Lenny’s business dealings and it isn’t long before his reputation as a hard man destined for the top means they are living the good life.

It leaves a stain on her heart forever.

But one night Lenny doesn’t come home. It isn’t the first time he has gone AWOL. But it is his last. He is found murdered – beaten to death in an act of brutality that shocks even the police. And Sharon never knows why.

Old wounds will surface.

Now, twenty years later, Sharon has found out the truth. Such a crime cannot go unpunished. Revenge is long overdue. The time has come to. . .

GET EVEN.

This is my December TBR, what’s yours?

Stay Curious!
